Getting the Conversation Started Using Bot Override Message

Create your own workflow to send a message when a new contact is created.


The Bot Override Message tool is an easy way to send an initial message to your contacts to welcome them and/or get a conversation started.

Lets say a lead filled out a form and they are now a new contact in your I Need Group CRM. We can set up a workflow that is triggered when that contact is created, send them an initial message, and let our bot take over from there. How cool is that?

To get started, lets navigate to Automations > AGENT AI Chat Bot Folder > Create New Workflow

Lets click on Add New Workflow Trigger

Click on Contact Created and Save Trigger

Now that we have our trigger lets add an action by clicking on the '+' and select Update Contact Field.

In here, lets click on Add Field and search Bot Override Message in the drop down. In the field next to Bot Override Message is where you will write the message you want sent out when a new contact is created. In this example I wrote "Thank you for filling out our form! How can I help you?". You are creating this initial message and now your bot knows what was said in that message which means your bot will take it from here!

You can add a title to this workflow and always remember to click Save and publish when you are ready!
